T4T 2022
October 1, 2022, was the big day for our 4th annual Trails 4 Tatas fundraiser, benefiting the Dignity Health YRMC Baskin Breast Care Center. All the money raised during Trails 4 Tatas goes directly to patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer, to provide them with essential items and services so that they can concentrate on their recovery. Items and services such as wigs for those experiencing hair loss, house cleanings, food vouchers, transportation to medical appointments, and lodging. All money raised stays right here in Yavapai County helping our families, our friends and our neighbors.
The day began with breakfast at Summit 4X4 Company's Headquarters (420 Miller Valley Road, Prescott) provided by our fabulous Summit 4x4 Club and Girls Tribe sponsors. A huge thank you to the following sponsors for providing breakfast;
- Andrea Mauk and Peter Medal of Elite Group AZ, Superlative Realty (elitegroupaz.com)
- Larry Larsen and Traci Ranic of Frontier Financial (frontierfinancialaz.com)
- Vince Moser, Farmers Insurance (agents.farmers.com/az/prescott-valley/vince-moser).
Once breakfast was served it was time to hit the trails. Four different runs took place in the Prescott National Forest, each varying in their level of difficulty. The Red Run, also known as the Difficult Run, took participants through a steep V-Notch where Jeeps and Suzuki Samurai's came together to tackle the harsh terrain. It was nothing less than entertaining to see vehicle after vehicle make its way up the notch.
With the trail runs complete, the groups made their way to the Mountaintop Christian Fellowship church where music, a car show, food, and a silent auction took place. A huge thank you to those who brought their vehicles by to be part of the car show and for the folks at Vintage Photo Co. for bringing by their photo trailer and props! The auction was a huge success and consisted of arts and crafts, camping gear, car parts, vacation getaways, local gift certificates and more.
Overall, 2022's event was an perfect depiction of what the community here in Prescott is capable of when we all come together. Your participation helped in raising over $20,000 more than last years event, a grand total of $62,782.58! These funds will help support those in our community currently battling and recovering from cancer. These funds will be allocated in such a way that they'll provide services like house cleanings, transportation, clothing and wigs, food vouchers, and lodging.
